Run a weekly restaurant pilot review with real decisions

A pilot review is useful when it produces a small set of decisions about information, routing and staff follow-up.

01

The decision this workflow supports

A pilot review is useful when it produces a small set of decisions about information, routing and staff follow-up. A long dashboard meeting can miss the operational question of whether the team received usable requests.

02

Put the review process in place

Review a few representative examples, unresolved issues and the agreed usage allowance. Separate website information errors from staffing delays and assistant behavior. Assign each improvement to an owner with a verification step, and avoid declaring revenue impact without evidence from staff-confirmed outcomes.

03

Worked example for your team

For a fictional weekly review, bring one successful information answer, one incomplete catering handoff and one request that waited because its owner was absent. These examples represent different problems and should not produce one generic instruction to improve the assistant. Assign a content correction, an intake-question correction or a staffing decision as appropriate. Review the agreed usage allowance separately from outcomes. The next meeting should check the specific change and its test result, not simply repeat a total call count and assume the operation has improved.

04

Sample wording to approve

“Meeting prompt: which guest task worked, which request needed correction, what did staff have to clarify, and what single change should we test before the next review?” This wording is a draft for the restaurant owner to approve before use.

05

Fields for the staff handoff

Staff need review period, representative examples, issue type, change owner, and next verification date. Mark uncertain details explicitly and keep the requested action separate from anything restaurant staff have already confirmed.

06

Acceptance tests before use

Each proposed change has an owner. The meeting distinguishes usage from results. The next review checks whether the agreed correction actually appeared. Record the observed result, assign any mismatch, and repeat the affected scenario after correction.
